Self-made painter, as his grand father André BOUQUET « naïf international well-know artist »Jacques BOUQUET began drawing and painting early but fin his real style in 1980 in the south of France were he stays during five years. Coming back in the Parisian area he live now at Marly le Roi, near Versailles , he don’t stop painting in Paris and surroundings and also in some other countries. Somme exhibitions and prices are adjudged to him during this period.

His themes and techniques are sundries with a leaning for watercolour and leaden-mine drawing. Influenced by by French primitives, impressionists and American realists his painting comes along in a universe of details and accuracy that make his originality.

Houses, shops, villages, snow landscapes are favourite themes for this figurative artist with a particular attraction for unusual scenes.
